The minimum size of an object that you can store in S3 is 0 bytes and the maximum size of an object that you can store in S3 is 5 TB.
The minimum size you can store in Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) is 0 bytes. This means you can store empty objects or files.
Regarding the maximum size, the maximum size of a single object that you can store in S3 depends on the storage class and the region where your S3 bucket is located. As of my last update in January 2022, the maximum size for a single object stored in Amazon S3 is 5 terabytes (TB) for all storage classes except for S3 Glacier and S3 Glacier Deep Archive, where the maximum object size is limited to 40 TB.
However, it’s always a good idea to check the latest documentation on AWS S3 as these limits might change over time. Additionally, AWS provides a Multipart Upload feature that allows you to upload large objects in parts, which can help you bypass some limitations on the maximum object size.
